    Sports seasons at all levels are in full swing. Major League Baseball, National Hockey League, National Football League, and The National Basketball Association are all in full swing and getting through seasons right now, and I love every second of it.     Last week, the NBA kicked off it's season along with the NHL. The MLB is coming to an end with the World Series starting tonight and the NFL is now into their 8th week. The World Series starts tonight for a seven game series between the Houston Astros and Atlanta Braves and I am very excited for it and rooting for the Braves. My favorite season, the NFL is beginning to pick up and the Browns are starting to get healthy. On the other hand, the NHL and NBA have the longest seasons as they play 82 games, compared to only 17 for the NFL.     Pinterest can be a great app that you can use to your advantage, not only for yourself but your business included. Pinterest is a visual-pinboard-style social sharing network where people can discover and save ideas. It is a great way to get better ideas for yourself and ways you can improve your company.      This app was founded in 2009 and has blown up since then and only continues to get bigger. For example, it now has over 459 million monthly users and over 240 billion pins on the app, so there is plenty of ideas out there. Next, you can use Pinterest to make business accounts, which will include a profile picture, about section, business locations and then you can add pins to your board whenever you want to help grow your business.     Yes, I said it, Christmas is soon approaching. It is crazy to believe that it is already almost November. As I have gotten older, I feel as if time goes even faster. It seems like just last week I had guys over on the basketball team and we were celebrating the New Year of 2021 and now it is almost Christmas.      Christmas is by far my favorite holiday, not just because it is the longest break I get from academics and athletics but also because I get to cherish the time with my family, dressed up, sitting around the fireplace and opening presents and just enjoying the time we get with each other. Christmas became my favorite holiday when I was a young kid and still believed in Santa Claus. I would always cherish going to church on Christmas Eve and then coming home after and all my cookies and milk were gone and the presents were suddenly under the tree.     After finishing our midterm in this class, I feel as if it can be a good time to talk about the first seven chapters and the things I have learned about social media. I am actually taking this class because I decided to pick up social media as a minor and I am beyond glad I did it because I  thoroughly enjoy learning about different aspects in social media. This is something that really sparked my interest because I feel like the whole world is ran by social media and cellphones.      Through the first half of this class so far we have learned about all the main social media apps. These include: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Snapchat.     After a much needed time off from athletics and academics, it is great to be back on campus. I was very thrilled to go home for a couple of long days. I wasn't only happy to go home because it was first time home in a month, but also because it will be last time home till Thanksgiving. We start our first week of practice this Friday and once that starts it is almost impossible to go home, so I made sure to enjoy my break.             I have always cherished my time I get when I am back home because you never know what can happen and when it could be your last time. That sounds very straight-forward but is the reality of life. As I stated, we start our basketball season this week and I am beyond focused and ready to start my third year on the basketball court.     Plenty of people have a false narrative of Snapchat and they think it is just used for fun and to communicate, but really it can be used for good reasons, including Snapchat spotlight. I have had Snapchat since I was a young kid and it is truly my favorite app I have on my phone. My favorite part of Snapchat is the Snapchat memories that pop up every day, whether they are good or bad, I enjoy seeing them.      Getting into the business side, you can Snapchat for many reasons outside of just taking selfies and sending them to your peers.     The 2021 Homecoming week at Ohio Northern University has come and gone again and it was one to remember. The most memorable event during this week was the football game I attended at Dial-Robertson Stadium between Marietta and Ohio Northern. All of my teammates and I attended the game and we had a blast cheering on the Polar Bears!     This matchup between Ohio Northern and Marietta is what I did for my Live Tweeting Assignment and I enjoyed doing this and having fun with the social media impact on Twitter. For this assignment we had to live tweet an event during Homecoming week and I chose to do this. I had a visual, a retweet and then I shared my tweets and updates about the game on my Twitter account and this was a great way to get used to the social media side of things. I let my followers on Twitter know a day before the game what I would be doing and what I would be tweeting about and then 15 minutes before kickoff I tried to set the scene and what was happening.
