NBA Season Is Back

My favorite time of the year is back, the NBA season. The NBA season officially began two weeks ago and I have been watching it non-stop. Being a college basketball player, I love being able to watch the game and learn from the best to do it. I am a huge Cleveland Cavaliers fan, but I am also a die-hard LeBron James fan, so I also root for the Los Angeles Lakers. As of today, the Cavaliers have the best record in the league and the Lakers have the worst record in the league.

A lot of people don't enjoy watching the NBA because of how long the season is, or the lack of effort, but I thoroughly enjoy it, especially during the playoffs. To me, you are watching the best players in the world, go head-to-head at a high level every game. The difference between the college level and the NBA is insane and I have a ton of respect for everyone that can play at that level. I also look forward to the nationally broadcasted games that usually take place almost every day of the week on ESPN, ABC, or TNT. When the game is on national television, players tend to go harder than normal and put on a show for the fans.

Whether or not you watch the NBA, it is one of my favorite times of the year. I am beyond excited to watch basketball every night and better learn the game of basketball. We should feel grateful that we are to have such a great sport to watch in America.

  1. Adam, I personally am a fan of the Lakers (Kobe, not LeBron) and they are not doing great. We've had some injuries already, but I hope they turn it around. Basketball is a great game to watch and I thoroughly enjoy every second!

Back on Campus

After a much needed time off from athletics and academics, it is great to be back on campus. I was very thrilled to go home for a couple of long days. I wasn't only happy to go home because it was first time home in a month, but also because it will be last time home till Thanksgiving. We start our first week of practice this Friday and once that starts it is almost impossible to go home, so I made sure to enjoy my break.             I have always cherished my time I get when I am back home because you never know what can happen and when it could be your last time. That sounds very straight-forward but is the reality of life. As I stated, we start our basketball season this week and I am beyond focused and ready to start my third year on the basketball court. I am especially excited this year because I know the potential this team has this season especially since we are a lot older and more experienced now.      In the...

Can YouTube be More than Entertainment?

Discussing and learning about YouTube has been fun and also informative. It has been fun learning about YouTube because I am an addict and always watch videos on it. I love YouTube because you can watch and find anything you need. Whether it is life advice, music videos or content creators. For example, I watch Danny Duncan and The Nelk Boys all the time and it is great. But, can YouTube be used for more than entertainment?     For example, YouTube is a fantastic way to promote yourself and your business, especially with amount of active users on YouTube. Everyone starts somewhere, everyone starts with zero subscribers, it is all about what you do with that. My freshman year of basketball at Ohio Northern University, I played against a guy named D'Vontay Friga from The University of Mount Union and he is YouTube famous now with over 600,000 subscribers and makes a living of promoting himself and his brand. His brand slogan is "Stay Motivated, Stay Positive" and h...

The Guardiac Kids

The Guardiac kids, also known as the Cleveland Guardians, were one of the most fun teams to watch in the league this year. A team made up of the lowest payroll, lowest experience and the youngest team in the league made the second round of the playoffs and took the "best" team in baseball to a final game in the American League Division Series, before losing last night. I watched over 50 games this year, and every game had so much life and excitement to it.      This past Sunday night, I attended game 4 against the New York Yankees in Cleveland and it was an experience of a lifetime. I got free tickets and a parking pass and had fantastic seats for a chance to watch history. We arrived early and explored beautiful downtown Cleveland. Cleveland is a place I have always loved and enjoyed being there and exploring. Once in the stadium, it was so great to be back. The smell of baseball was in the air, and it was contagious. With over 38,000 people in attenda...
