College Football Playoffs

    In 2014, college football finally introduced the idea we had been waiting on, The College Football Playoffs. This meant that instead of only two teams getting a chance at the national championship, it would know be four teams. Everyone that enjoys college football was very happy when this was announced.  

    The first year it was introduced, the final four teams happened to be Ohio State, Oregon, Alabama, and Florida State. In the first round, Oregon defeated Florida State and Ohio State defeated Alabama in an instant classic. This meant it would end up being Oregon versus Ohio State in the championship game. Ohio State went on to defeat Oregon by a score of 42-20 and celebrated winning the first ever college football national championship. I still remember Ohio State winning this game and I lost my mind. I thought it was awesome to see Ohio State win the national championship, but especially with it being the first year of the playoffs. ]

    All this above is besides the point. The reason I wanted to write this is because I thoroughly believe the College Football Playoffs should be twelve or sixteen teams. I believe that this would make it more exciting but would also give plenty of other teams an option and make their season more competitive. By doing sixteen teams, it would then go to eight for the second round, four for the semifinals and then finally down to the final two for the championship. I think this would not only make college football more exciting, but would also give teams a better season and more to fight for. No matter how good some teams are, they may never have a chance if it is only four teams.

    Hey Adam! I totally agree with you on this! While I'm not the biggest football fan, I definitely would find it more entertaining if the championship game consisted of more teams. If there were more teams, fans could enjoy more by having their own brackets, similar to March Madness!

    The Guardiac kids, also known as the Cleveland Guardians, were one of the most fun teams to watch in the league this year. A team made up of the lowest payroll, lowest experience and the youngest team in the league made the second round of the playoffs and took the "best" team in baseball to a final game in the American League Division Series, before losing last night. First Game, First Win

    Last night, we opened up with the first game of our season and the first game of my senior season. We traveled to Oberlin College which is close to the Cleveland area. Since it is closer to Cleveland, it was a long bus ride. The whole bus ride, it really hit me that my senior season is beginning and potentially the last season of my competitive basketball career. Besides that, I knew that this was a huge game, especially being on the road for our first game, it is never easy. I won't lie, I felt very confident about our chances going into the game.      We arrived at Oberlin, and the butterflies began to hit me for the first time in a long time. A new coach, senior season, high expectations, and the first game all added up to some nervousness. This game was a huge game for us if we want to change the culture of Ohio Northern Basketball. Lake Days Never Get Old

 Greetings, I can't believe we are into week 3 of school already, it will be winter break before we know it and 2022, and I always wish time would slow down. I told myself this weekend while I was home for labor day how much I wish time could just slow down sometimes, especially since I am a 21-year-old kid right now that wants to stay young forever.  One of the main reasons I want time to slow down and why I have enjoyed being at home this summer was because my brother purchased two jet skis at the beginning of August, and they are some of the most fun and enjoyable things I have ever been on.
