Attitude

    It is the time of the year and semester when your attitude becomes super important. The person with the more focused and positive attitude tends to exceed right now. I am saying this because I have struggled with my attitude until recently, and it can affect everything you are trying to do in life. If you let one thing bug you throughout an entire day, you will not have a successful day. 

    I had struggled the first couple of weeks of the semester with my attitude. I was being negative and letting one bad situation bother me for a whole entire day, which is not good. It wasn't until recently, and that changed. I had an extended talk with my coach about attitude and demeanor and it changed my whole outlook on life. First, he told me to start planning out my weeks and writing down things I am thankful for, and what to improve on that week. This may sound little, but it has helped an incredible amount. Being a captain of the basketball team, I can't afford to have a bad attitude and body language. When I do this, it can rub off on the whole entire team. Showing up each day with a positive attitude and greeting everyone, has changed everything for myself and the team. 

    I am writing this blog because I am certain there is someone out there struggling with their attitude and staying positive. If you are, start out with something small that can help and then work bigger and better. Start writing down a to-do list for your days and write down what you are thankful for. I am always thankful for my health, family, and friends! Keep your head up and keep digging!

The Guardiac Kids

    The Guardiac kids, also known as the Cleveland Guardians, were one of the most fun teams to watch in the league this year. A team made up of the lowest payroll, lowest experience and the youngest team in the league made the second round of the playoffs and took the "best" team in baseball to a final game in the American League Division Series, before losing last night. I watched over 50 games this year, and every game had so much life and excitement to it.      This past Sunday night, I attended game 4 against the New York Yankees in Cleveland and it was an experience of a lifetime. I got free tickets and a parking pass and had fantastic seats for a chance to watch history. We arrived early and explored beautiful downtown Cleveland. Back on Campus

    After a much needed time off from athletics and academics, it is great to be back on campus. I was very thrilled to go home for a couple of long days. I wasn't only happy to go home because it was first time home in a month, but also because it will be last time home till Thanksgiving. We start our first week of practice this Friday and once that starts it is almost impossible to go home, so I made sure to enjoy my break.             I have always cherished my time I get when I am back home because you never know what can happen and when it could be your last time. That sounds very straight-forward but is the reality of life. As I stated, we start our basketball season this week and I am beyond focused and ready to start my third year on the basketball court. Lake Days Never Get Old

 Greetings, I can't believe we are into week 3 of school already, it will be winter break before we know it and 2022, and I always wish time would slow down. I told myself this weekend while I was home for labor day how much I wish time could just slow down sometimes, especially since I am a 21-year-old kid right now that wants to stay young forever.  One of the main reasons I want time to slow down and why I have enjoyed being at home this summer was because my brother purchased two jet skis at the beginning of August, and they are some of the most fun and enjoyable things I have ever been on. It also helps that I have my whole entire dad's side of the family that lives by Grand Lake St. Mary's, and they all have boats and jet skis also, so it makes for a great time.
