Principles of Social Media

    We have finally arrived to Week 15 of the semester and that can only mean one thing: it is the last week of the semester before we leave for Christmas break. Picking up social media as a minor was something I was very glad I did and especially after learning the concepts I picked up this semester. We covered over fourteen chapters and throughout each chapter I picked up very valuable information. For example, covering all of the major social media apps was very valuable. Learning what Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn and other apps can do for yourself and your company is very important for the future. I never realized how important a social media content calendar can be or how much companies and employers look at your social media and observe it. 
    Never look past social media, especially when trying to boost your name or even start a company. For example, my brother is a local real estate agent and social media will forever be his top seller. Social media is how he spreads all his news, and how he shows his house listings to different people. Moreover, using to social media to your advantage and using it the right way is not only going to help yourself but also others.

    After finishing our midterm in this class, I feel as if it can be a good time to talk about the first seven chapters and the things I have learned about social media. I am actually taking this class because I decided to pick up social media as a minor and I am beyond glad I did it because I  thoroughly enjoy learning about different aspects in social media. The Guardiac Kids

    The Guardiac kids, also known as the Cleveland Guardians, were one of the most fun teams to watch in the league this year. A team made up of the lowest payroll, lowest experience and the youngest team in the league made the second round of the playoffs and took the "best" team in baseball to a final game in the American League Division Series, before losing last night. I watched over 50 games this year, and every game had so much life and excitement to it.      This past Sunday night, I attended game 4 against the New York Yankees in Cleveland and it was an experience of a lifetime. I got free tickets and a parking pass and had fantastic seats for a chance to watch history. We arrived early and explored beautiful downtown Cleveland. Twitter Can Be Tremendous

    I am beyond excited we are talking about my favorite app in class now, Twitter. Twitter has been my favorite social media app for over a year now. I also feel as if Twitter is one of the best apps you can use to promote your business or even yourself. I know I used Twitter a ton during high school when I was playing basketball and I was able to reach out to a lot of coaches for college teams.      Originally Twitter only allowed you 140 characters on your tweets, that number is now at 280. Twitter was founded and started in 2006 by Jack Dorsey and has over 353 million people attracted to it. It is used every single day for anything you can think of including sports, politics and businesses. Twitter is used more heavily by males especially in the business world. When using Twitter you should try to incorporate videos and pictures into your tweets to catch more attention from people on your timeline or people that view your profile.    ...
