Twitter Can Be Tremendous

I am beyond excited we are talking about my favorite app in class now, Twitter. Twitter has been my favorite social media app for over a year now. I also feel as if Twitter is one of the best apps you can use to promote your business or even yourself. I know I used Twitter a ton during high school when I was playing basketball and I was able to reach out to a lot of coaches for college teams.

Originally Twitter only allowed you 140 characters on your tweets, that number is now at 280. Twitter was founded and started in 2006 by Jack Dorsey and has over 353 million people attracted to it. It is used every single day for anything you can think of including sports, politics and businesses. Twitter is used more heavily by males especially in the business world. When using Twitter you should try to incorporate videos and pictures into your tweets to catch more attention from people on your timeline or people that view your profile.

When making your account for a business or company it is important to focus on certain things. For example, your username should be less than 15 characters and it should be simple so people can find you easily. Next, your profile pic should be the logo of your company. Your bio is very important and can be the key to growing your business. You should always use the location, hashtags and emojis and then describe your company very well using up to 160 characters. Your bio is very important because it is what will attract people to viewing your page further.

Twitter can be tremendous, just like the title says, but only if used right. For it to be used right in your business, you need to follow all the steps and take them very serious. The more professional your page looks, the better chances you have of attracting people. You can always spread your Twitter by using it in parts of your LinkedIn. Be smart, be professional and take it serious and Twitter can end up being one of your best friends in the social media world.

Back on Campus

After a much needed time off from athletics and academics, it is great to be back on campus. I was very thrilled to go home for a couple of long days. I wasn't only happy to go home because it was first time home in a month, but also because it will be last time home till Thanksgiving. We start our first week of practice this Friday and once that starts it is almost impossible to go home, so I made sure to enjoy my break.             I have always cherished my time I get when I am back home because you never know what can happen and when it could be your last time. That sounds very straight-forward but is the reality of life. As I stated, we start our basketball season this week and I am beyond focused and ready to start my third year on the basketball court. I am especially excited this year because I know the potential this team has this season especially since we are a lot older and more experienced now.      In the...

College Football Playoffs

In 2014, college football finally introduced the idea we had been waiting on, The College Football Playoffs. This meant that instead of only two teams getting a chance at the national championship, it would know be four teams. Everyone that enjoys college football was very happy when this was announced.       The first year it was introduced, the final four teams happened to be Ohio State, Oregon, Alabama, and Florida State. In the first round, Oregon defeated Florida State and Ohio State defeated Alabama in an instant classic. This meant it would end up being Oregon versus Ohio State in the championship game. Ohio State went on to defeat Oregon by a score of 42-20 and celebrated winning the first ever college football national championship. I still remember Ohio State winning this game and I lost my mind. I thought it was awesome to see Ohio State win the national championship, but especially with it being the first year of the playoffs. ] ...

The Place to Be

If you are a sports fan, Cleveland is the place to be right now. Writing that first sentence makes me extremely happy because I have been a die-hard Cleveland sports fan for 22 years now. Trust me, during those 22 years there has been plenty of ugly and not as many smiles. Outside of the Cavaliers winning the NBA championship in 2016, there hasn't been a lot of positives for Cleveland sports fan, but that has finally changed.      First, let's talk about the Cleveland Browns. We all know about them, mostly bad, but that seems to be changed. They are currently 1-0 with one of the best rosters in the NFL. Outside of that, they also signed their future franchise quarterback to a big-time contract. Also, they have one of the best running backs, offensive linemen, and defensive linemen in the whole entire league. For me, this is an exciting time to be a Cleveland Brown fan, especially to see what the future holds for them. I can't pick a favorite Cleveland sports...
