Thanksgiving Break

This is our last week of classes here at Ohio Northern before we go on Thanksgiving break for a full week. Playing basketball my whole life, I have never been able to enjoy a full Thanksgiving or Christmas break but I need this break badly this year. I don't say that in a bad way, but I have only been able to go home for a total of four days this entire school year. I will only be home for three days on Thanksgiving, but I am going to cherish every second of it.      I have enjoyed my senior year a ton so far, but there have been stressful times throughout, just like every year. Thanksgiving is always one of my favorite times of the year, especially since I started college. I love coming home to all my family and friends and having everyone together in one room. Being at college, I rarely get to see my family and friends. I am not sure what we will do this year, but I am always excited to see what it brings. Of course, food is one of my favorite parts also. First Game, First Win

Last night, we opened up with the first game of our season and the first game of my senior season. We traveled to Oberlin College which is close to the Cleveland area. Since it is closer to Cleveland, it was a long bus ride. The whole bus ride, it really hit me that my senior season is beginning and potentially the last season of my competitive basketball career. A new coach, senior season, high expectations, and the first game all added up to some nervousness. This game was a huge game for us if we want to change the culture of Ohio Northern Basketball. The ball tipped up and the game began. We definitely came out as I expected; a little sloppy but also nervous and hesitant. This is expected, e

NBA Season Is Back

My favorite time of the year is back, the NBA season. The NBA season officially began two weeks ago and I have been watching it non-stop. Being a college basketball player, I love being able to watch the game and learn from the best to do it. I am a huge Cleveland Cavaliers fan, but I am also a die-hard LeBron James fan, so I also root for the Los Angeles Lakers. As of today, the Cavaliers have the best record in the league and the Lakers have the worst record in the league.      A lot of people don't enjoy watching the NBA because of how long the season is, or the lack of effort, but I thoroughly enjoy it, especially during the playoffs. To me, you are watching the best players in the world, go head-to-head at a high level every game. The difference between the college level and the NBA is insane and I have a ton of respect for everyone that can play at that level. I also look forward to the nationally broadcasted games that usually take place almost every day of the week on E
